About the role
You shape how Willowmere sounds in writing — warm, accurate, and easy to trust. Working remotely, you draft newsletters, web updates, and family communications that reflect daily life in our Portland community.
What you’ll do
- Write and edit family newsletters, website copy, and community announcements
- Collaborate with marketing and admissions on campaign messaging
- Interview staff and gather resident stories for outreach content
- Maintain a content calendar and track publishing deadlines
- Proofread materials for clarity, tone, and brand consistency
- Support occasional one-pagers for tours, events, and seasonal programs
What you’ll bring
- Strong writing portfolio in marketing, journalism, or nonprofit communications
- Ability to write with empathy for older adults and their families
- Comfort interviewing stakeholders and turning notes into polished copy
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Senior living, healthcare, or hospitality writing experience is a plus
