About the role

You shape how Willowmere sounds in writing — warm, accurate, and easy to trust. Working remotely, you draft newsletters, web updates, and family communications that reflect daily life in our Portland community.

What you’ll do

  • Write and edit family newsletters, website copy, and community announcements
  • Collaborate with marketing and admissions on campaign messaging
  • Interview staff and gather resident stories for outreach content
  • Maintain a content calendar and track publishing deadlines
  • Proofread materials for clarity, tone, and brand consistency
  • Support occasional one-pagers for tours, events, and seasonal programs

What you’ll bring

  • Strong writing portfolio in marketing, journalism, or nonprofit communications
  • Ability to write with empathy for older adults and their families
  • Comfort interviewing stakeholders and turning notes into polished copy
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting
  • Senior living, healthcare, or hospitality writing experience is a plus
